Looking for a gentle and respectful nanny who uses RIE to encourage baby's independence and recognises their competence. Has lots of experience with babies and enjoys spending time outdoors and embracing nature.

Duties:
Whilst the baby is tiny, it will look something like shared care with mama, taking care of baby sometimes, mama sometimes, and doing some things for the family around the house during down times when mama is sleeping with baby, for instance.

As baby becomes a toddler, there will be more time with the nanny taking sole care of the child during the day, perhaps taking her to activities sometimes and being nearby during her independent play.

The family plans to have a few more children, so the role will be changing over time to support that. They would value and appreciate help around the house, some family assistant type things if the nanny is interested in doing this, but it is not a requirement.

The family are very healthy eaters and mostly follow a kind of paleo diet with whole foods. You will be warming up soup and preparing their favourite avocado toast. They would value and appreciate light cooking like eggs, simple tacos, or other meals the nanny wants to make that fit the family’s diet. They have high standards about the contents of the food, but not about the cooking, so a novice could easily cook for them. Mom is gluten-free.

Travel with the family would be very valuable, but none required. Optional travel with the family to various destinations, including beaches, mountains, Austin, and occasionally Norway.

Both parents will be working from home. Currently on maternity/paternity leave, Dad is transitioning back slowly to working full time.

A driver would be a bonus, but not essential. A car can be provided for the nanny to use while on duty. There is street parking on a quiet street available for the nanny’s own vehicle and a parking permit can be obtained.
